Ethiopia, 1975

In January 1975 the War Flag, (previously also the Royal Standard) was changed: the obverse side was the same as the State flag, with the uncrowned lion, and on the reverse side only the figure of St. George slaying the dragon. In March 1975 the monarchy was abolished, a republic proclaimed, and both flags disappeared.
