'Rifle carriers” marching

In a parade of “Schutterijen”, the voluntary city guards that used to protect towns from attack in the medieval and early modern Netherlands, “Rifle carriers” march past in a yearly reenactment at a “Schuttersfeest”, a festival in the town of Meerssen.
