“Kaatsen”

“Kaatsen”, the Frisian national sport, is played with a small ball that is hit with the palm of the hand; there are complicated rules and it is a passion among many Frisians. The yearly “PC” tournament (the oldest regulated sports tournament in the world) is held on the “Tsjûkelân” Kaatsveld in Franeker.
