Terschelling - Skylge

Terschelling - Skylge

The island of Terschelling flies a flag of horizontal stripes of red, blue, yellow, green and white, known at least since the mid 19th century. Apparently blue stands for the sky, red for the roofs of the houses, green for the vegetation, yellow for the beach and white for the foam heads of the waves in the North Sea.
