The Rijksmuseum

The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam's grandest national museum dedicated to Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. The building was designed by Pierre Cuypers and first opened in 1885. After a ten-year renovation the main building was reopened in April 2013. It is the largest and most visited museum in the country.
