KaNgwane, 1984

KaNgwane, 1984

A coat of arms for the KaNgwane Legislative Assembly had been registered in November 1978. It featured a quartered yellow and red shield with three light-blue primitive paddle-shaped coins, a gold ox head, a yellow flaming torch and three blue sorghum ears. Behind it was a “sakila” (fighting stick) and an assegai (spear). On the crest was a yellow and red head-ring and two battling lions at the feathered carrying staff of the shield. It is supported by two elephants standing on a green field with a rising sun. The motto in siSwati, “SIYINYANDZA”, means ‘We are all in it together’.
