Wooden houses, Maihaugen

Wooden houses in Maihaugen, Lillehammer. With close to 200 buildings, this is one of Northern Europe’s largest open-air museums and one of Norway’s largest cultural facilities. It was founded by Anders Sandvig, who, in the early 20th century, acquired collections from old houses and farmyards within the valley of Gudbrandsdalen to provide samples of Norwegian culture and history.
