Eastern Norway

In farmer's house, Maihaugen

Interior of a farmer’s house in Maihaugen, Lillehammer, one of Northern Europe’s largest open-air museums with close to 200 buildings. It is one of the most extensive cultural facilities in Norway and was founded by Anders Sandvig (1862 - 1950), who collected old houses and items from farmyards within Gudbrandsdalen to provide samples of Norwegian culture and history to be preserved.
