District of Truk, 1977

In 1977 the District of Truk (now Chuuk) adopted a flag, displaying 38 white stars encircling a white coconut tree centred on a field of blue. Each star symbolises the then 38 municipalities of the district: the islands in Chuuk Lagoon and the Outer Islands.
