Piazza Unità d'Italia, Trieste

The Palazzo del Governo, on Piazza Unità d'Italia in Trieste, designed by the Viennese architect Emil Artman and built between 1901 and 1905. It was part of a project to embellish the square, which has already become the vital centre of the city. In the background the Comune di Trieste, Trieste's City Hall, designed by architect Giuseppe Bruni and built between 1873 and 1875.
