Oromo Liberation Front
The Oromo Liberation Front, established in 1973, is a political party and armed movement struggling for the independence of the Oromo people, who have resisted for over 70 years the Ethiopian central government. It uses a flag with three horizontal stripes of red, green and red. In the centre is a yellow rayed disc with a green sycamore tree and a small red 5-pointed star. In August 2018, a peace agreement was forged between the Ethiopian government and the OLF, ending the 45-year Oromo conflict.
