Geometric mosaics in the south aisles belonging to Basilica A of St. Auxibius, a series of rectangular panels with a wide variety of geometric motifs. Unlike the tiles in the north aisles, they are of more inferior construction, without figured ornament - this part of the church was probably reserved for women and children and the not yet baptised. Basilica A was a timber church of the later fourth century, paved almost entirely with mosaics in the ancient Greek city of Soli or Soloi, on the coast in the Gulf of Morphou.
