The view from Famagusta city walls towards the northeast, with at left the Sinan Paşa Mosque, formerly the Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, built around 1360 and after the Ottoman conquest in 1571 converted into a mosque. In the centre Lala Mustafa Paşa Camii, formerly the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, built between 1298 and c. 1400 and consecrated as a Roman Catholic cathedral in 1328. On the right is the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, built around 1300 and damaged by cannon bombardment in 1570-'71.
