Kingdom of Dalmatia, 1815

Although the Austrian Habsburg monarchy had annexed the lands of Dalmatia, along the shores of the Adriatic Sea, after the first war with Napoleon’s France, in 1797, the French occupied it again 12 years later. The Austrian proclaimed the Kingdom of Dalmatia in 1815 after they had expelled the French again and became Crown Land of the Austrian Empire, which lasted until 1918; Dalmatia’s flag was blue over yellow.
