Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Central Australia

Uluru climb

The place to climb Uluru at the western cliff face, with a handrail leading part of the way; it was not without danger and, being a sacred site, the local Pitjantjatjara Aboriginal people preferred people to walk around the Rock rather than climb it; since 26 October 2019 climbing is no longer allowed.
