Eating carpet snake

A young Tiwi boy from Bathurst Island enjoys a piece of carpet snake on the beach near Rocky Point on the south west coast of Bathurst Island. These large non-poisonous pythons are coiled, roasted in the ashes of a fire and the taste could be described as “fishy chicken”.
