Itirkawara

Chambers Pillar (known to the Aborigines as Itirkawara, the Gecko Ancestor), 140 kilometres south of Alice Springs in Central Australia, stands like a sentinel in the desert landscape. It is an impressive outcrop that can be reached by a sandy track from Maryvale station.
