Aboriginal Ceremonies from the Tiwi Islands

Tiwi children during a “Stations of the Cross” re-enactment on Bathurst Islands before Easter. Although a Christian celebration, this is done in Tiwi style, with traditional decorations. In this scene Jesus (flanked by two thieves) is hanging from the cross.
