Aboriginal Ceremonies from the Tiwi Islands

Tiwi children during a “Stations of the Cross” re-enactment on Bathurst Island, before Easter. Although a Christian celebration, this is done in Tiwi style, with traditional decorations. In this scene Jesus is kneeling under his cross, flanked by Roman soldiers.
