Fortress of Onhezmus

The entry gate to the ancient fortress of Onhezmus, with the remains of a 5th-century Synagogue Complex in the centre of Saranda, attesting to a large and wealthy Jewish community that lived in Onhezmus at the time. It was a community centre and underwent various structural additions and adaptations over time.
