In the Al Bidiyah mosque

Inside the Al Bidiyah mosque, built between 1446 and 1668 from stone, mud brick and gypsum. Its distinctive roof with its four pointed domes is supported by an internal pillar, at left, and it has a small mihrab, the niche in the wall that indicates the direction of Mecca.
