Cultural displays in the Emirates' Museums

Students' desk

A display of students at their desk in the Al Ahmadiya School in Deira. In the 1920s three students had to share a bench. Education was free at the beginning and later a nominal fee was charged. For students coming from underprivileged families, the fee was covered by the founder Ahmed bin Dalmouk himself.
