At the Welcome Centre, the gate of the Burj al Arab, Dubai's landmark building, one of the tallest dedicated hotels in the world. Designed to resemble a billowing sail, the hotel soars to a height of 321 metres in Jumeirah, on the coast to the west of Dubai city.
