The Province of Zeeland

Tower of Zierikzee

The town of Zierikzee, on the island of Duiveland in the south western province of Zeeland, has many historical buildings from the time it was an important harbour. The tower of the City Hall dates from late 14th Century; the wooden steeple was added after 1550. It is topped by a brass statue of Neptune.
