Bolsward City Hall

The City Hall of Bolsward (Boalsert in the Frisian language) was designed by Jacob Gysberts and built between 1614 and 1617. It is the finest Renaissance building in Friesland. In the 18th century the original front was replaced by a handsome Baroque facade and a Roccoco external staircase.
