The “Tobbesteken” is a bit of folklore in the village of Hoorn on the largest Frisian island of Terschelling (Skylge in the Frisian language). The idea is to run downhill on a little cart, armed with a long pole; the aim is to spear a ring, fastened to a board attached to a bucket of water pivoted over the track. If they miss and hit the board, the bucket of water will be emptied over them.
