Visserijdagen, a Festival in Harlingen

Along the Noorderhaven

The 17th century “pakhuis” (warehouse) “Java”, reminding of the trade with the formed Dutch East Indies and the other historical buildings along Harlingen's Noorderhaven form a backdrop for a beautifully preserved Frisian “botter”, a flat-bottom boat with its stabilisers on the sides, that can be lowered when required.
