A parade of Schutterijen in Limburg

Four “Marketensters”

Four “Marketensters”, women who in the old days provided food and strong drink to soldiers, march in a parade of 60 “Schutterijen”, reenacting the traditions of the citizen militia of centuries ago; this group is part of the “Schutterij Eendracht” from the village of Papenhoven.
