Speeltoren, Monnickendam

The Speeltoren (Carillon Tower), the city hall tower of Monnickendam, with the oldest hand playable carillon is in the Netherlands. The lower part of the building is a remnant of the old 14th-century parish church. The tower is 30 metres high; its wooden top was built in the years 1591-1592.
