The Province of Flevoland

The

The “Batavia” was a ship from the heydays of Dutch exploration in the 17th Century; on a mission to Batavia, now Jakarta, Indonesia, it ran aground on the western Australian coast and sank on 4 June 1629. A reconstruction of the ship was built in Lelystad, Oostelijk (Eastern) Flevoland, 365 years later.
