The Coat of Arms of Friesland, a blue shield with two gold lions and 7 billets (rectangles), said to be derived from the arms of Frisian King Radboud (c. 800 C.E.). The shield is held by two lions and surmounted by a gold crown. It was officially adopted 11 February 1958.
