Bukhara: towards the outskirts

In Fayzulla Khojaev House

The havli darun, internal bailey, in the house of Fayzulla Khojaev (Fayzullo Xo'jaev, 1896-1938), in the neighborhood Goziyon, to the south west of Bukhara's historical centre; once home to the man who plotted with the Bolsheviks to remove Emir Alim Khan, he was rewarded with the presidency of the Bukhara People’s Republic and when Central Asia became part of the USSR, he participated in the regional administration but was executed in 1938 during Stalin's massive repressions.
