Caliph's Standard, 1922

The standard used by the last Caliph, Abdülmecid II (1922–1924) consisted of a green flag with a star and crescent in white on a red oval background within a rayed ornament, all in white. The Ottoman Caliphate was the last Sunni Islamic caliphate of late medieval and early modern era. It was founded in 1517 and was abolished by Atatürk in 1924.
