Road of Lions, Anıtkabir

The Road of Lions, a 262 metre long pedestrian walkway, lined by twelve pairs of lions carved in a style like the Hittite archaeological finds, represening 24 Oghuz Turkic Tribes, leading to Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey.
