The Norbulinka Palace, Lhasa
Truzing Palace, built during the reign of the 8th Dalai Lama (1758 - 1804). This palace enshrines the statue of an eleven-headed, thousand-armed and thousand-eyed Avalokiteshvara as well as those of the Three Longevity Buddhas and Amitayus. As the reading room for Dalai Lamas, it has a collection of over 3600 scriptures. The palace also served as the meditation center for the 13th Dalai Lama.
