Newly qualified tangoma

Newly qualified “tangoma” or diviners have been fitted out with an “umfembi”, containing ritual objects, among others the nose of a hyena, an animal with a keen sense of smell, to help them to “smell out” evil spirit bodies that may reside in a person's body.
