Umutsi on her tongue

Traditional “umutsi” or medicine is rubbed into the tongue of an initiate “sangoma” so she will always tell the truth when she is consulted later; she will be immersed in water during which she “dies” to be “reborn” later as a fully qualified “sangoma” or diviner.
