Initiate “sangoma” Mahlatshwa Lukhele, a red cloth around her shoulders symbolising the blood of the “emaNdzawe” (or Ndau, a tribe in Mozambique that had been killed by the Swazi in the 19th century), is led by a senior sangoma to the river for further rituals.
