The iNcwala or First Fruits Ceremony in 1970

The pyre, last day

A pyre, containing articles used in the ceremony, like the King's costume, bedding discarded by the king and the remains of a ritually slaughtered bull, is in front of the scared “inhlambelo” enclosure in the “sibaya”, the Royal cattle byre, on “Lukhuni”, the last day of the iNcwala ceremony in Lobamba.
