The iNcwala or First Fruits Ceremony in 1970

Emasotsha regiment

Members of the “Emasotsha” traditional Swazi regiment prepare in front of their “emalawu”, regimental huts in the Royal capital of Lobamba, for the main day of the iNcwala ceremony. On the left, with leopard skin headdress, and carrying his shield with regimental colours, is James Matsebula, the Private Secretary to the King and a Swazi historian.
