The iNcwala or First Fruits Ceremony in 1970

Boys with leaves

Young boys with “emacembe”, leaves that will be used for the ceremonial enclosure in the Royal “sibaya”, the cattle byre in Lobamba. This way younger boys can also participate in the iNcwala ceremonies, as they can collect the leaves within a short distance of Lobamba without walking too far.
