The uMcwasho Ceremony

Girls wearing cords

A group of girls, wearing red or yellow cords on their heads indicating they do or don't already have a boy friend, march into the Somhlolo Stadium in Lobamba, singing and rhythmically blowing whistles to dance in celebration of the end of their “uMcwasho” period in front of the King.
