Mpumalanga Province, 1996

Mpumalanga Province, 1996

The coat of arms for Mpumalanga, granted 25 March 1996, is a gold and green shield, with a twisted bar of blue and white separating those, representing the mountainous landscape. A red Barberton daisy, indigenous to the province, is at the top. It is topped by a crest with three rays, symbolising the rising sun and the peaks of Mpumalanga’s mountains. Two kudus support the shield on a green base with the Latin motto “OMNIA LABOR VINCIT”, ‘Work conquers all’.
