Location of Grahamstown

The “Location”, in Apartheid days the restricted area for Africans, in Grahamstown. It is now renamed Makhanda, in memory of Xhosa warrior and prophet Makhanda ka Nxele who, during the Xhosa Wars, instigated a failed attack against the town of Grahamstown.
