Samoa 1873-1875?

There is a claim that upon the establishment of the Kingdom of Samoa on 2 October 1873 a red flag with a blue canton and a white star was used, looking very similar to the present Samoan flag, although this seems to have disappeared two years later with the adoption of the red-and-white Missionary influenced flag.
