Lalitpur (Patan), a rich Royal city

Patan's Royal Palace's superb Golden Gate, a finely engraved and gilded gateway dating from 1734 leading into what is now the Patan Museum. It is flanked by two stone lions and topped by a golden “torana” showing Hindu gods: Shiva, Parvati, Ganesh and Kumar.
