Lalitpur (Patan), a rich Royal city

Krishna Temple, Patan Durbar Square

The Krishna Temple, a three-tiered Hindu temple in Patan Durbar Square. It was built in 1667 by one of the great Malla kings, Siddhi Narsingh. It is built in local Granthakuta or “Shikhara” style, imported from India. The first floor holds the main shrine of Lord Krishna, the second floor is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the third to Lokeshwor (Avalokiteshvara).
