The Naadam Festival

“Devee” dance

After a bout of traditional Mongolian wrestling, (“Bökh”) a man performs a short dance near the trident standards in which the wrestler imitates falcons or phoenix taking off (“devee”), at the Naadam Festival in Darkhan. This unique dance has become one of an integral and indispensable part of the wrestling tradition.
