Deer stones

“Deer stones”, carved standing stones within an emplacement of sacrificial mounds (“khereksuur”) at Uushigiin Övör, 20 kilometres west of Mörön. These 14 deer stones date to the mid-Bronze Age, between 1500 and 800 BCE. They feature flying deer in high relief and often hunters with bows and arrows, chasing deer.
