Dundgovi (Middle Gobi) province is, in spite of its name, actually in the northern part of the Gobi desert, about 240 kilometres south of Ulaanbaatar. Its flag is light-blue over yellow, with the blue stripe twice the width of the yellow one. The circular provincial emblem is placed at the upper hoist: a white winged horse with the three Buddhist jewels on an ornamental base, all fimbriated in gold, with above it the name “Dundgovi” in Cyrillic capitals.
